Hello, This is the Southern end of our house which we have arranged as a small self catering letting unit for two adults sharing the double bed. Regrettably no children can be accommodated. The apartment  is arranged with a shower room and toilet unit on the ground floor then via a steep stair way to the bedroom, in which there is a double bed , thence to the sitting room/kitchen. The kitchen equipment is mostly new and for cooking  there are two electric rings  built into the sink unit worktop  there is also a good sized microwave cooker and a `fridge. There is a small colour T.V. and a compact cd player/radio. There is also a good selection of "paperbacks". We are not selling "chintzy country living" with lots of decor effects.  We do offer functional comfort and above all---tranquility.  A short walk up through our woods and through our boundary gate and there is open Dartmoor  which extends as open moor for some  350sq. miles.    Boldventure is situated 2.5 miles West of Chagford  (twelve minutes by car)  which has four food pubs, shops and one "upmarket" plus two "other" restaurants.  The roads after Chagford are nearly all single track with passing places. You are now getting into the real Devon, manners and patience are essential.  The last half mile from the road to our house is shared drive. It is concreted in places but mostly packed stone with a central ridge in others.      Our neighbours live in a chalet 2/3rds. up the drive. they value their privacy so please give them your consideration.    Continue  past the chalet to the white house at the end of the drive and you have arrived. Our house can also be accessed on foot along the "Mariners/Two moors Way" which crosses our land or by horse from the moor if you are pony trekking.  Horses can be accommodated as can well behaved dogs ...by arrangement. If you are coming this way we can do basic shopping for you. If you so wished we could provide the makings of a d.i.y. breakfast i.e. local granary bread marmalade/ honey, tea, coffee (instant decaf), milk,and butter/butterly for £2.50 p.p.n. A good cross section of British wildlife can be seen in the vicinity as can birds, Buzzards soar overhead whilst Merlins often attempt to take birds from our feeding station.  In season there is much Lark song to be heard. Towels and bed linen are provided.    Totally non smoking. Charges:-    As of 18/8/07......Double   £40 per night              Single    £27 per night .
